Radiographic Imaging for Dental
Auxiliaries
Synopsis This work systematically presents the theory
and practice of contemporary dental radiography, including new
digital techniques. Its organization parallels the structure of most
courses, introducing technique, procedures, film processing and
characteristics, and radiation basics before interpretation. This
third edition contains two additional chapters: one on the new
modality of digital radiography, the other on pre-surgical implant
imaging and the advantages and disadvantages of the various
techniques. The authors particularly emphasize safety issues, such
as radiation hygiene and ionizing radiation, and clarify the
techniques and interpretive strategies with over 400 photographs and
diagrams.
