Editorial Reviews
Biofeedback,
Newsmagazine of the Association for Applied Psychophysology and
Biofeedback, 1993
".... The lay reader, however, will appreciate
the straightforward explanations, recommendations, and vignettes of
fellow sufferers such as Bert Reynolds. If I was a patient,
exhausted by replicated studies and puzzled looks from the medical
community, I would feel deep gratitude for Dr. Taddey's attempt to
diminish my confusion and empower me with useful information."
Toothworms and Spider Juice

$52.20 (Prices may vary) Library Binding, 96 pages Out of Print. Click the Amazon
"buy" link to buy used copies of this text.
Editorial Reviews From Booklist
Ichord has written an entertaining history of
dentistry that is full of gruesome treatments, terrifying
instruments, peculiar cures, and superstitions. The book's 12
chapters are devoted to such varied topics as the belief in the
evil toothworm, early dentist-barbers and tooth-drawers, dental
quackery, and tooth decoration. Because the chapter titles are
exotic rather than descriptive, and the organization is a
sometimes confusing hodgepodge of topics and historical periods,
the book is better suited for browsing than as a research tool.
With wise use of the index, however, report writers will find
brief but helpful information to bolster reports and fill in
studies of ancient cultures in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
